Most of the women in rural areas are still illiterate and unemployed. Even though they are good in sewing, knitting, weaving and other such activities, due to unavailability of capital to invest in the raw materials (like sewing machines), they cannot take it as their professions and thus remain unemployed. Thus, they depend on others for their expenses. Under this initiative by RSKS, 20 poor and deprived women & girls of rural regions of Ajmer are provided with sewing machines. This helps them to take it as their profession and hence become successful entrepreneurs. Multiple sources of income help families of such women get economically strong.
